Orchestra Notes - September 23

Hello, Orchestra!

 

Thank you so much to those of you who ministered in services yesterday. A number of people, including many other members of the staff, expressed appreciation to me for our presence.

 

Looking ahead...

 

October - We play in services on October 13, with rehearsals on October 6 and 9 as scheduled and announced. Please note: The main piece we are playing (the Getty's "Power of the Cross") only calls for French horns and strings, so everyone else will have the month off.

 

HOWEVER,

 

Christmas - I would like to call a Christmas rehearsal on Sunday, October 6, for everyone. We have at least one new item to look at, and please bring the items you already have. Thus, we'll begin with everyone on the Christmas music at 2 PM, and then finish the rehearsal with the materials for October 13 with just the appropriate people remaining.

 

Please check the basket in the Portico for new music next time you are at church. I'll put everything into one packet per person (i.e., October 13 and Christmas). As always, let me know if you would like your parts by email.
